Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to create videos for them in several languages, including American Sign Language. Directing for them was a great experience, and they were wonderful to work with.

My first production for them was in 2011. It was a series of three videos in American Sign Language featuring deaf actor Shoshannah Stern. Not only was it wonderful to work with a pro like Shoshannah, but it was also a great learning experience to direct, edit and subtitle a project in American Sign Language. In addition, LA Care wanted to offer the videos to its Spanish-speaking audiences, so we recorded and subtitled a Spanish version. We re-shot parts of the script with an Asian-American host, and also shot several interviews and testimonials in Mandarin Chinese. In addition, we recorded voiceover for Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Tagalog and Cambodian. A Tagalog example is included in the video gallery above.
